Week 6

Hello everyone,

Can you believe that there are only 2 more weeks left? I feel like we just started this thing!

Now before I give you the updates on the points, I just want to say thanks to everyone who is still participating. I hope you are all gaining something from this. Like I said when we started this thing, it's not a diet, but a lifestyle change, and hope that after this challenge is all over you can come away with some positive lifestyle changes!

  • 3 points--64 oz. of water (21)
  • 3 points--no eating after 8:30 pm (21)
  • 3 points--2 servings of fruit (21)
  • 5 points--3 servings of vegetables (35)
  • 5 points--No sweets/treats, expect you can have 3 servings of some kind of treat through the week. (last time we did this we had one cheat day, and we found that we would usually pig out on that day, so we feel three "cheat" servings will be help us not get carried away) (35)
  • 5 points--Keeping a food log (35)
  • 5 points--30 minutes of exercise (five days possible--25)
  • ---OR---
  • 7 points--45 minutes of exercise (five days possible--35)
  • 5 points—weighing in every Sunday night and posting how much you lost on the blog by Monday morning at 10 AM. (5)

    3. I love how this challenge has helped me create a balance in my eating. I tend to be an all or nothing kind of person, but this challenge has helped me to find a good balance. I also like how it's helped to me to really start to actually like vegetables. I would rarely eat veggies on my own before this, but now I am always seeking them out.

    3. It's really helped me recognize how much sugar I was eating and get back into my "pre-baby routine", of exercising regularly. Before starting the health challenge whenever I had a little bit of time to myself I would either try to take a nap or try to get some cleaning done. Now I make getting my exercise time top priority and I feel like I have more energy and am able to get more done than I was before.

    My favorite part is just feeling much better each day. Junk food doesn't give me the energy like the fruits and veggies do. Hopefully I can keep this up.

    I am loving how all of these things that use to be so hard to do everyday like exercise and drink a lot of water is now just complete habit. I honestly don't have to think about any of it. I have truly become a healthier person.

    My favorite thing about this challenge is how it's motivated me to be more active. I'm not very athletic and made every excuse not to exercise but now I'm finding I'm enjoying it more.

    I am just loving the structure of the whole thing. If you're working to get the points each day you are going to feel healthier and better. I've just loved the weight that's come off and how much more motivated I am now than I have been in the past with weight loss.
