Week 7!

Hi Everyone!

Well we are now approaching the final week! I can't believe this thing is almost over!

Next week I will post the final points and standings Monday afternoon once I get everyone's points for the final week.

This is a short post, but I hope you all have a great final week of the challenge!

This week for the blog please post the following:

1. Points
2. weight loss
3. What do you plan to do after the challenge to maintain your healthy habits?

Total points possible per week are in parentheses

  • 3 points--64 oz. of water (21)
  • 3 points--no eating after 8:30 pm (21)
  • 3 points--2 servings of fruit (21)
  • 5 points--3 servings of vegetables (35)
  • 5 points--No sweets/treats, expect you can have 3 servings of some kind of treat through the week. (last time we did this we had one cheat day, and we found that we would usually pig out on that day, so we feel three "cheat" servings will be help us not get carried away) (35)
  • 5 points--Keeping a food log (35)
  • 5 points--30 minutes of exercise (five days possible--25)
  • ---OR---
  • 7 points--45 minutes of exercise (five days possible--35)
  • 5 points—weighing in every Sunday night and posting how much you lost on the blog by Monday morning at 10 AM. (5)

I am currently studying nutrition and personal training. Doing this challenge and actually getting results has been super motivating and life changing.

    3. I plan to try and keep up this challenge as much as possible, maybe not the eating after 8:30, that was always the hardest for me. It will be difficult with out the accountability, so I will need to figure out some other way to do that. As I did this challenge I discovered how much I enjoyed eating raw foods (or uncooked foods) and how much better they made me feel. So starting next week I want to try to go for 2 weeks eating only raw meals for 2 out of my three meals, and see how that goes and to see how I feel doing that.

    3. I'm usually pretty good about eating healthy...except: I have a serious sweet tooth issue :p So for me limiting sweets/treats to 3 servings or less a week has helped me feel a lot better. I really hope to keep this up by planning ahead of time what dessert we are going to have and when, and only making single serving sizes...so I don't end up with a pan of brownies sitting around that I will feel bad about throwing out or worse when I eat them all...haha.

So much of this has just become second nature--counting the number of veggies I've eaten or how many glasses of water I've had. I'm like Tommy--I hope I can keep it up without the accountability.

Like Tommy and Jenny, some things have become second nature. Now, just need to work on quantities.

I would like to keep up the habit of limiting my sweets intake. Since the challenge begun, I have had much more energy each day simply by limiting my sugar. Also the veggies...definitely need to eat more of those.

this past week was a bit easier to maintain. drinking water when i am wanting something to eat has continued to help. meditation has helped. ive realized theres other ways to exercise rather than cardio. doing it seemed a bit more difficult. Keeping myself active has helped me not focus on food. eating less. Im trying to think of an alternative for fruit. i like some fruit. 2 servings seems a lot lol. i dnt no why.

This challenge has been awesome and it's really helped me lose weight and stay motivated. I will definitely keep working out 5 days a week and I'll keep using the my fitness pal app to track my eating so I stay accountable to that. Honestly I'm going to eat a lot more pizza when this is over.
